This necklace is special… gems and ribbons!
I really love the combo of gemstone beads on a ribbon to make a cool necklace. I made this one a statement using a bright orange ribbon. This tutorial contains affiliate links.
You will need the following tools and materials to make your ribbon gemstone necklace:
1: Pliers. You’ll need your flat nose pliers and round nose pliers to make your ribbon gemstone necklace.

2: A piece of ribbon long enough to be a necklace.
3: Two flat crimp ends.

4: A large jump ring.
5: Two small jump rings.

6: Three head pins.
7: A lobster clasp.

8: Gemstone beads. I used this selection of beads including a shell bead and a coral bead.
Follow these steps to make your gemstone ribbon necklace:
1: Place each of the beads on the head pins.
2: Create a loop at the end of each pin using the round nose pliers to secure the beads in place.
3: Add the beads onto the large jump ring and close it.
4: Add the bead charm to the ribbon and tie a knot to secure it in the middle of the ribbon.
5: Add a crimp to either side of the ribbon ends using the flat nose pliers to squash it in place. I had to fold my ribbon a little to make sure it fit.
6: Add a jump ring to one side of the ribbon end and add the lobster clasp to the end.
7: Add the other jump ring to the other side of the necklace to finish it off.
Now your gemstone ribbon necklace is ready to wear! So cool!

Want something fun to wear on your head? Make this knotted headband!
For some reason I have a lot of old headbands lying around. I decided to give one a makeover using some ribbon and some hot glue. This DIY is super easy, you can do it yourself in around 10 minutes.
You will need the following tools and materials to make your headband:
1: A headband. I used this old one I had lying around that I had previously wrapped in black ribbon.
2: Scissors, for trimming the ribbon.
3: A hot glue gun and hot glue.
4: Some ribbon. I used some deep red ribbon.
Follow these steps to make your headband:
1: Loosely knot the ribbon in the middle. Don’t pull the knot tight or it will lose it’s shape and bounciness!
2: Add some glue to the middle of the headband and glue the knotted part of the ribbon to the center.
3: Add some more glue down the sides of the headband and secure the ribbon to the band.
4: Trim the excess ribbon off the ends. Leave enough ribbon to fold around the ends of the headband.
5: Add glue to the inside ends of the headband and secure the ends of the ribbon around the end of the headband.
Once the ends are glued in place and the glue has cooled and dried your headband is ready to wear!

Take on the Choker Trend. Three ways to make ribbon chokers.

These tutorials are simple and effective, you’ll be on the choker trend train in no time! Using ribbons with different textures you can create stunning and elegant choker necklaces that everyone will envy.
You will need the following tools and materials to make a basic ribbon choker:
1: Flat nose pliers.
2: Scissors.
3: Flat crimp ends.

4: A length of satin ribbon.
5: Two jump rings.
6: A lobster clasp.
Follow these instructions to make the basic ribbon choker:
1: Make sure that your ribbon is the right length to fit around your neck. Make sure that it fits comfortably and isn’t too tight. Use your scissors to trim the ribbon to the right length.
2: Once your ribbon is at the right length, take one of the crimp ends and use the flat nose pliers to secure it in place.
3: Repeat step 2 for the other side of the ribbon.
4: Once the crimp ends are secured in place add a jump ring to either end of the choker.
5: Add a lobster clasp to one end of the choker, securing it in place by attaching it to one of the jump rings.

6: Once the clasp is in place your choker is ready to wear!

You can make a velvet choker by following the above steps, replacing the satin ribbon with some velvet faced ribbon in your choice of colors. I used black velvet ribbon.
Here are the two simple chokers together.

Follow these instructions to make yourself an embellished choker. This choker is a little more complicated to make, featuring a silver ring at the center of the ribbon choker.
You will need the following tools and materials to make this ring center choker:
1: Flat nose pliers.
2: Scissors.
3: Two pieces of ribbon that are long enough to fold around the center ring and will create a total length that fits comfortably around your neck. This can be a little fiddly to figure out but can be made easier with an extra pair of hands!
3: A flat ring. I used this silver colored ring that features colorful rhinestones around the edge.
4: Two flat crimp ends.
5: Two jump rings.
6: One lobster clasp.
And here are the steps…
1: Loop each piece of ribbon around the ring so that they sit on either side.
2: Take one side and line the ends of the ribbon up. Take one of the flat crimps and line it up.
3: Secure the flat crimp end in place using the flat nose pliers.
4: Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the other side of the choker.
5: Once both the crimp ends are secured in place, add a jump ring to either side of the choker.
6: Add a lobster clasp to one end of the choker to finish it off.
Now your choker is done and ready to wear!
