Here’s how to take apart your beaded jewellery so you can reuse the materials.
Do you have a beaded necklace or bracelet that you don’t like anymore? Here’s a video tutorial that shows you how to take that piece apart so that you can re-use the beads, the wire and most of the findings! Knowing how to take apart jewelry you don’t want anymore is a way to both save money and be a bit more eco friendly! Please note that this tutorial contains affiliate links.
You’ll need the following tools and materials to take apart your jewels:
1: A piece of jewellery you don’t want anymore. I took apart a beaded anklet.
2: A pair of cutting pliers.
3: A bowl to put your beads in so they don’t fly everywhere.
4: A pair of flat nose or round nose pliers for opening jump rings.

All you need to know to make this gorgeous triangular pendant is in this little instruction video. Watch it now and follow along and before you know it you’ll have your own incredible triangle pendant to hang around your neck. This necklace can be made in a flash, believe me, you will be wearing your lovely new creation before you know it!
To make this triangle pendant necklace you will need to use a few different tools and materials:
1: Pliers. You will need your round nose and flat nose pliers.
2: Three eye pins. I used these longer pre-made eye pins but you can use shorter ones or make your own out of wire depending on how you want your necklace to look.
3: Beads! I used some different colored jade beads but you can use any beads that you like. Perhaps you’ll experiment by mixing gemstone beads with some brightly colored glass beads… get experimental with it and make this necklace design your own!
4: You will need some jewelry chain to make this necklace.
5: Don’t forget about the clasp! I used a lobster clasp for this necklace.
6: And the final piece of the puzzle… a jump ring!

How to Make An Adorable Anklet
Here it is… DIY Jewelry Hub’s first video tutorial! I decided that an anklet would be the perfect piece to make for my first video, and as you will soon see, making one is pretty easy!
The process for making this anklet is very similar to that of my beaded charm bracelet design, complete with a cute little charm at the end. And just in case you missed it, here are a few extra tips and tidbits to help you make your very own beaded anklet.
You will need the following tools and materials to make this anklet:
- Pliers (Round nose, cutting and flat)
- Beads
- Two jump rings
- One lobster clasp
- Four crimp beads
- Tiger tail wire (to measure the amount of wire you need, wrap it loosely around your ankle. remember to add a little extra so that you can secure your beads on each end.)
- One charm of your choice
And that’s it… there isn’t anything too complicated about making this anklet. I hope you enjoy watching this tutorial and making this design as much as I did!
