This one is fun! Here’s how to make a crochet phone strap with beads.
I made myself one of these before a recent trip and found it so handy! No dropping your phone when you’ve got one of these on. This phone strap features a range of colourful beads threaded onto some vibrant thread. Perfect for showing your personal style. What colours will you make yours in?

You will need the following tools and materials to make your phone strap:
1: Thread. I used this pink nylon thread. Make sure it is thin enough to fit your beads but not too thin.

2: A pair of scissors.

Get some here:
3: Beads. I used a random selection of beads from my collection in a mixture of materials including glass, plastic and timber.

You can get pre-mixed beads here:
4: A crochet hook. I used a 3.5mm crochet hook.

You can get a crochet hook here:
5: Some superglue to secure the knots.

You will need the following tools and materials to make your phone strap:
1: Add the beads to the thread.

2: Create a loop and tie it in a knot, this will be the loop you use to add the strap to your phone case.

3: Now create a slip knot close to the loop you just made and slip it over the crochet hook.

4: Tighten the loop around the hook.
5: Take the longer part of the string and loop it over the crochet hook in front of the first loop.
6: Take the first loop and pull it over the second one and off the crochet hook.
7: Repeat steps 5 and 6 a couple more times before sliding one of the beads up to the hook.

8: With the bead next to the hook, loop the thread around the hook again to create another link to the crochet chain. When you pull the loop over, it will secure the bead in place. Continue in this fashion, adding beads as you see fit until you have a strap long enough to fit around your wrist loosely.

9: Once your crochet chain is long enough, cut the thread and secure the end loop by threading the end through the last loop of the chain.

10: Tie the ends of the strap together, securing the knot a few times.

11: Trim the excess thread.

12: Add a dab of glue to the knot to secure it in place.

Now your beaded crochet phone strap is finished and ready to use! What will yours look like?

Need help keeping hold of your phone? Here’s how to make a cute chain and rhinestone phone strap so its harder to lose!
I’m loving making phone straps lately! This one combines a chunky chain with some rhinestone trim to create this double stranded phone strap. I decided to add the extra chain for more strength! Please note that this tutorial contains affiliate links.
You will need the following tools and materials to make this phone strap:
1: Pliers. I used my flat nose pliers, round nose pliers and cutting pliers. I also used scissors to trim my string.

2: A piece of chain about 30cm long. I used this silver tone chunky curb chain.

3: A piece of rhinestone trim about the same length as the chain.

4: Two crimp ends.

5: A large jump ring.

6: A piece of string. I used this hot pink nylon string that I cut to be about 15cm long.

7: Super glue.

Follow these steps to make your rhinestone phone strap:
1: Take one end of the rhinestone strand and place it in one of the crimp ends.

2: Squash one side of the crimp around the end of the rhinestones using the flat nose pliers.

3: Repeat the squeezing of the crimp for the other side, folding it around the end of the rhinestones. Squeeze until the crimp feels securely attached to the rhinestone strand.

4: Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the other end of the rhinestone chain.

5: Add one end of the chain and rhinestone strand to the jump ring.

6: Add the other end of the chain and rhinestone strand to the jump ring in the same order.

7: Close the jump ring using your pliers.

8: Fold the string in half and tie the open ends around the jump ring, loop and knot it a few times to secure it.

9: Trim the ends of the string.

10: Add a dab of super glue to the ends of the string to secure the knot.

Now your double strand phone strap is finished and ready to pop on your phone. Loop it through on of the holes on your phone case for more phone customisation!

These tools and materials will help you make your polymer clay earrings:
1: Pliers. flat nose and round nose pliers.

2: Polymer clay. I used pink and purple Sculpy because it is nice and soft which makes it easy to work with.

3: A foil tray for baking your clay on.

4: Some baking paper for moulding and baking your clay.

5: Four large jump rings.

5: Two charm connector stud earring findings.

6: Two head pins.

7: Two small beads.

8: A hot glue gun and glue.

9: Two tassels.

10: A skewer.

11: An oven.
Follow these steps to make your polymer clay earrings:
1: Roll the clay into balls and strands and then squeeze them into a circle shape.

2: Poke two holes in each of the polymer clay circles using the skewer.

3: Put the clay pieces onto the baking paper and place them in your foil tray.
4: Bake the clay pieces. I baked mine in my oven on the lowest setting for about 20 minutes. I recommend following the instructions on your clay packet for the best results.
5: Let your pieces cool once you’ve taken them out of the oven.
6: While you are waiting for the polymer clay pieces to bake and cool, follow the steps in this video to make two tassel charms.

7: Add one of the large jump rings to one of the polymer clay charm holes.

8: Attach one of the tassels to the open jump ring and close it to secure the pieces together.

9: Repeat steps 7 and 8 for the other earring.

10: Add a the remaining jump rings to the tops of the polymer clay charms and attach the earring posts. Close the top jump rings to secure the earring posts to the polymer clay charms.
