Got Some Old Clip On Earrings Lying Around? Here’s How To Turn Them Into Studs For Pierced Ears!

Got some clip on earrings lying around? Or perhaps you picked up some cool vintage clip ons from your local market or charity store but you aren’t sure what to do with them… here’s how to transform clip on earrings into studs for pierced ears. Please note that this tutorial contains affiliate links.

You will need the following tools and materials for this tutorial:

1: Pliers. You will need your cutting pliers for this tutorial.

2: A pair of clip on earrings.

Follow these steps to transform your clip ons into earrings for pierced ears:

1: Use the cutting pliers to remove the clips from the back of each earring. They might not clip off easily so be careful with this stage.

2: This step isn’t necessary, but you can use the file or sandpaper to flatten out the back of the earrings so that they are ready for gluing.

3: Squeeze the glue in equal parts onto the scrap paper and mix it with the skewer.

4: Add the mixed glue to the earring post and to the back of the earring charm.

5: Place the earring post onto the back of the earring charm in the same location you put the glue. Hold it in place for about a minute to make sure it sticks in place.

6: Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the second earring.

Once your earrings are dry they are ready to wear. So now you can transform your jewelry box with loads of vintage studs!
