How to make a super cute letter bead necklace! Add your word to a chain for a cute twist on the y2k jewelry trend!
This is a super cute necklace design that you can personalise to suit your preference. I’m stuck in lockdown right now so I decided to make sure everyone knows that I am ‘BORED’ haha. This super cute design is simple to construct and looks great worn on its own or layered with your other pieces. Maybe you can make a high-low statement by wearing this with your fine jewelry! You will need these tools and materials to make your letter bead necklace:
1: You’ll need two pieces of chain that make up your preferred necklace length. Please note that adding the letter bead chain will make it a little longer.
2: Enough eye pins for the length of your word. I used seven.
3: Enough small jump rings for the length of your word plus one extra. I used eight.
4: Two larger jump rings.
5: A lobster clasp.
6: Letter beads. I used seven beads, five to spell out the word BORED and a couple of white letter beads with hearts on them.
7: Pliers. I used my round nose and flat nose pliers to open and close jump rings and eye pins to complete this necklace.
Follow these steps to make your own letter bead necklace:
1: Add one of the letter beads to one of the eye pins.
2: Bend the pin using the round nose pliers to form a loop. This will secure the bead onto the pin.
3: Repeat this steps for the remaining letter beads until they are all secured onto eye pins.
4: Attach the beads together in order using the small jump rings, you should have two left over for each end of the letter bead chain to attach the necklace chains.
5: Add one of the remaining small jump rings to one end of the letter bead chain.
6: Attach one of the long necklace chains and secure it by closing the jump ring.
7: Repeat steps 5 and 6 for the second side of the necklace.
8: Add one of the larger jump rings to one end of the necklace and slide on the clasp. Close the jump ring to secure the clasp in place.
9: Add the second large jump ring to the other side of the necklace to finish it off!

How to make a letter bead chain bracelet!
Sometimes you need to be a bit subtle about how you communicate your feelings. So instead of saying it out loud, or showing it in your body language, why not show how you feel with your jewelry? Here are all the steps you can follow to make a cute letter bead bracelet that says a word on it. Mine says ‘grumpy’ because that’s how I feel a lot of the time ;). Please note that this tutorial contains affiliate links.
You’ll need these tools and materials to make your letter bead chain bracelet:
1: A bunch of eye pins. The number you need depends on the length of your bracelet.
2: Two jump rings.
3: A lobster clasp.
4: Letter beads that make up the word you want to spell. Mine spells G-R-U-M-P-Y.
5: Other beads. I used some black plastic beads recycled from an old necklace. The number of extra beads you need will depend on the length of your word.
6: A small jump ring.
7: A charm. I used this plastic banana charm and drew a little smile on it with permanent marker.
Follow these steps to make your own letter chain bracelet:
1: Add a letter bead to one of the eye pins.
2: Bend the eye pin to form an angle.
3: Bend the top of the pin over to form a loop that secures the bead onto the pin. Use your round nose pliers to do this.
4: Repeat steps 1 to 3 for the other letter beads until your whole word is on pins.
5: Attach each of the letter bead pins together to form a chain.
6: Set the letter chain aside and start making the side chains.
7: Add your other beads to the pins the same way you did for the letter beads. Make two chains so that the whole piece is long enough to wrap around your wrist. Make each chain an even length so that your word sits in the middle.
8: Add a lobster clasp to one end of the bracelet using one of the jump rings.
9: Add the other jump ring to the other side of the bracelet.
10: To finish the bracelet off, attach your charm using the small jump ring.
Now your bracelet is finished and ready to wear! So cute!

Follow these steps to make your letter bead necklace:

2: Add one of the jump rings to one end of the chain by threading it through the last chain link. This can be tricky when your chain links are small like on this chain. I suggest using your smallest size jump ring.
3: Close the jump ring to secure it in place.
4: Add another jump ring to the other side of the chain.
5: Add a lobster clasp to the open jump ring and close it to finish the necklace off.

Letter beads are a nostalgic trend that have become really popular in the last couple of years. Here’s how you can use them to send a message to people… adding words to hoop earrings! This is a super easy DIY that has lots of personality. As an added bonus, you don’t even need tools to make these letter bead hoop earrings! Please note that this tutorial contains affiliate links.
Here’s what you’ll need to make your letter bead message hoop earrings:
1: A pair of hoop earrings. I used these silver-tone hoops with a lever back.

Follow these steps to make your cute message hoop earrings:
1: Open the earring.
2: Add one of the letter beads to the hoop, you need to put them on in reverse order and upside down to have them readable when they’re on the earring. (This isn’t as important if your chosen letters are symmetrical like H and I are!)
3: Add the other letter to the first earring, I made this one say HI.
4: And now you can add the rest of the beads to the second earring, mine says BYE so add the ‘E’ bead first, upside down.
5: Add the remaining two beads, remember to flip them upside down before sliding them onto the earring.
Now all your beads are in place and you can wear your earrings! How easy are these cuties to put together?
