    How to Make a Necklace

    Crystals are Classic… here’s how to make a crystal necklace.

    This crystal necklace is a classic piece that you can wear alone or layer with other pieces.

    You will need the following tools and materials to make your crystal necklace:

    1: Pliers. You will need your round nose pliers, flat nose pliers and cutting pliers.

    2: Two pieces of chain long enough to form a necklace.

    3: Four jump rings.

    4: One eye pin.

    5: A lobster clasp.

    6: A crystal bead. I used this crystal bead with a metallic coating on it.

    Follow these steps to make your crystal necklace:

    1: Add the bead to the eye pin.

    2: Trim the eye pin using the cutting pliers.

    3: Create a loop at the end of the wire using the round nose pliers to secure the crystal bead on to the pin.

    4: Attach one of the chains to one side of the crystal using one of the jump rings.

    5: Attach the other chain to the other side of the crystal with another jump ring.

    6: Add a jump ring to one of the ends of the chains and attach the lobster clasp.

    7: Add the other jump ring to the other side of the necklace to finish it off.

    Now your crystal necklace is finished! How will you style yours?

    How to Make a Bracelet

    Make a beaded chain bracelet… this is my new fave!

    This beaded chain bracelet is my new favorite thing, I’ve been making all kinds of accessories with this technique.

    You will need the following tools and materials to make your beaded chain bracelet:

    1: Pliers. You’ll need flat nose pliers, round nose pliers. You might need your cutting pliers depending on the length of your eye pins.

    3: Some beads. I used these glass beads.

    4: A toggle clasp.

    5: Two jump rings.

    Follow these steps to make your bead chain bracelet:

    1: Add beads to the eye pins.

    3: Create a loop at the end of each pin to secure the beads in place.

    4: Start linking the pins together to form a chain.

    5: Attach the toggle clasp components to either end of the chain using the jump rings.

    Now your bracelet is finished!

    Get loopy! Make this beaded loop necklace






    This necklace gives you the effect of a charm without actually adding one. By using some cleverly placed beads this necklace looks fancier than the effort it takes to make it! This technique allows you to experiment with, and show off your exotic and unique beads in a creative manner.

    You will need the following tools and materials to make this beaded loop necklace:

    1: Pliers. You will need your round nose pliers, flat nose pliers and cutting pliers to make this necklace.

    2: Tiger tail wire.

    3: One lobster clasp and one jump ring.

    4: Four crimp beads.

    5: Beads of your choice. Make sure you pick one large bead to hold the loop in place. I used a long blue timber bead as my central bead. You might also want to choose some beads to feature on your loop pendant, I used three quartz beads.

    The Steps:

    1: Cut a length of tiger tail wire. Make sure it is long enough to fit around with the pendant loop.

    2: Begin adding beads to the middle of the necklace. Add enough to form a small loop at the center of the necklace.

    3: Once you have enough beads to form your loop, secure it in place by adding a glass e-bead.

    4: After adding the e-bead, add your larger centerpiece bead.

    5: Add another e-bead after the centerpiece bead.

    6: After adding the second e-bead, begin beading one side of the necklace. I used some blue seed beads for the rest of the necklace.

    7: Once your beading is complete, add two crimp beads and the lobster clasp.

    8: Loop the wire back through the crimp and beads, pulling it tight using the pliers.

    9: Squash the crimps using the flat nose pliers. After the crimps have been secured, trim the excess wire using the cutting pliers.

    11: Repeat steps 6 to 10, adding a jump ring to the end of the strand instead of a clasp.

    12: With both sides finished your necklace is ready to wear. I love this design and I hope that you do too.

    Hoops, Loops and a Whole Lotta Wow! How to Make Statement Hoop Earrings






    I’ve already shown you how to make hoop earrings using some pre-made findings, so now it’s time to show you how to make some dangly hoop earrings that really make an impact! Using some memory wire and some chain you’ll be able to create your very own stunning statement hoop earrings.

    You will need the following tools and materials to make these earrings:

    1: Pliers. To make these earrings you will need to use some round nose pliers, flat nose pliers and cutting pliers.

    3: Four Jump Rings.

    4: Two short pieces of chain to connect the hoops to the earring findings.

    5: Two earring hooks.

    6: Beads of your choice. For this design I used some green dyed quartz and some dark glass seed beads.

    The Steps:

    1: Cut two pieces of memory wire using the cutting pliers so that the ends touch with no overlap.

    2: Use the round nose pliers to create a loop at one end of the wire. Repeat for both pieces.

    3: Once each loop has been formed, begin adding beads in your desired pattern.

    4: Once beading has been completed, create a loop at the other end of the wire to secure the beads in place. Repeat this step for both pieces.looping other end

    5: Attach a piece of chain to both sides of the hoop using the jump rings.

    6: Find the center of the chain and attached an earring hook to complete each earring. Secure the earring hook in place by closing it with some pliers.attaching earrings

    7: Now your earrings are complete! Take them out for a spin and show off your DIY creations.
